The Carheil Estate :

The nineteenth- century “Chapelle Royale Notre Dame du bon Secours et de la Bonne Délivrance” can be visited on booking.
This chapel is the last religious edifice built by King Louis Philippe’s family. It was built between 1845 and 1846. The stained-glass windows were installed in 1847.

In 1852, the Castle was sold and kept by the successive owners.

In 1945, it was blown off exept the chapel which remained intact.

A particuliarity on this Estate: ball-shaped camellias are a top thing to see during the blooming time ( March / April).
